Who are you?
“I’m the middle sibling of 5 brothers and sisters, I’m a believer in Christ, and I’m a Website Designer.”
How did you get interested in CrossFit?
“I’ve been Crossfitting on and off for almost 3 years now. Through multiple injuries and this crazy life’s experiences, I’m really happy to say that I’ve always been able to come back to it. I was introduced by a fellow member at Vanguard Gym, Beth Raley. I’m so glad she persisted in encouraging me to join!”
Why does coming to class matter to you?
“I need physical challenge in my life and CrossFit fulfills that more than enough. Also, CrossFit is so much cheaper than therapy, not to mention it’s SO much more enjoyable.”
What is your favorite movement? Why?
“I would have to say… well, if I could do a muscle up, I would say a muscle up (#goals). But, of the exercises I can do, I would say the deadlift. It always is fun to lift a lot more weight than I thought I could. It’s enough of a challenge for me, and I feel very accomplished after hitting a heavy lift.”
Crossfit is perfect for my style of exercise. Physically challenging, rewarding for me at whatever level I take it to, and of course, who doesn’t like Olympic Lifting? It tests mental and physical fortitude, and it’s never boring. I really enjoy that no matter what level you’re at in CrossFit, you can always point to different areas of the work out and find both successes as well as areas to work on. There’s always a challenge. There’s always a success.”
